Our Favorite Blanket (and Swaddle) Ever!

Aden + Anais is synonymous with baby swaddles and blankets. I remember when I bought my first A+A items.  I was 5 months pregnant with Sienna and decided to fly over and visit a friend in San Diego.  I happened to walk into a baby store and  inevitably stepped out with a Mamaroo rocker, a Bugaboo stroller, and about 10 silicon baby bottles. As a first time parent, I could have sworn to myself that I was forgetting something so I walked back into the store for a second round and stumbled upon the Aden + Anais section.   I proceeded to purchase 20 swaddles, 15 bibs, 5 wash cloths and a couple of blankets. I could not resist the soft muslin material and adorable patterns. I didn’t really think about how I would get everything back to Dubai, but Mama needed those essentials.  And thus, my love for Aden + Anais began.

The Happiest Happy Box

People that know me well, know that I’m sort of  “hippy/granola” when it comes to my children.  Their diets are 75% (25% unavoidable birthday party junk and the occasional pizza) organic, unprocessed and sugar-free.  They don’t get much in terms of electronics other than 20 mins on their iPad. I prefer books to tv and outdoor play to a mall. So when I found out that there was a “toy” that would serve as both a learning activity and entertainment, I was ecstatic!

Best Place to Buy Party Supplies in Dubai – Party Camel!

While planning Sienna’s cupcake decorating 4th birthday party, I decided to go to Etsy for some unique party favors and decor.  I honestly hit the jackpot, but every single item I found was located in the States.  Lucky for me, I do have a Shop and Ship PO Box in the States and I was able to buy all of the goody bags and fillers via different stores on Etsy.  I even scored some cute decoration for the party. Our Incredible Day at Modesh World

Like most parents bearing the heat while trying to entertain our kids this Dubai summer, we are constantly on the hunt for fun and energetic things for our children to do. As such, Sienna, Cole, my mom and I decided to go to Modesh World. And let me tell you, this place is heaven sent! First of all, it’s massive! Second, it’s a good 4-5 hours of fun all in a single place.

Hair Products

The number one question I get asked often is: “What is the brand of hair extensions you use?”.  I can honestly confirm that I have never used hair extensions my entire life because I just don’t have the patience for so much maintenance.  My hair is 100% mine and ironically enough,  I didn’t get half the amount of hair my mother and my sister were blessed to receive.  Now, they have what you call GORGEOUS hair!  But, I do get numerous comments on my hair and I would love to share my favorite hair products.

My Favorite Products for Girls (and boys) with Tangled Hair

My daughter Sienna has my hair. 100%.  With that comes a very sensitive-to-pain scalp and easily tangled hair.  Not the best combo! After showering it takes a good 15 minutes just to brush my hair out and even longer for Sienna.  She also has these natural curls on the bottom ⅓ of her hair and they are responsible for even more intense knotting.  I tried to convince her that Rupunzel from Tangled also has to brush her hair and that’s why it’s so long and healthy and she didn’t buy it. Therefore, I have had to search high and low for the best paraben-free and sulfate-free shampoo for her hair type.  I can honestly say that I’ve used over 15 shampoo brands from all over and I finally have my top four! I’ve listed them in the order of favorite to absolutely the best thing ever in the history of ever!
